Preparation: Journal Access 5 pts The student has accessed the three journals assigned.	Poor It did not appear that student had attempted to access the assigned journals.	Fair There was evidence that student had made an attempt to access at least one of the journals, but did not display adequate awareness of all three. The student had a vague awareness of the topics of published articles.	Good Conversation provided evidence that student had successfully accessed the three assigned journals and adequately reviewed Table of Contents of a representative sampling of those journals.
Familiarity with topics 5 pts The student has reviewed Table of Contents of a sampling of journals and is conversant with topics within Psychology of Music. Fair The student discussed a number of possible topics, but does not appear to have a basis for narrowing the field or choosing a topic for the final project.	Good There was evidence that student had thoughtfully considered a range of topics for the Review of Literature and was beginning to narrow focus on at least a few. A well thought-out rational is offered for those choices.
