Participation Descriptions
	Full 1 pts	Half 0.5 pts	None or no points 0 pts
ATTENDANCE	Full Student is in class.	Half Student is in class.	None Student is absent.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Full Student often asks questions, raises hand. Does not use cell phone or other devices for non-academic purposes.	Half Student sometimes asks questions, raises hand. May have used cell phone or other devices for non-academic purposes.	None Student never participates in class, does not participate in pair/group discussions.
PREPARATION	Full Student is prepared for class. Student actively engages with material.	Half Student is somewhat prepared for class, sometimes actively engaged.	None Student is almost always unprepared for class, rarely engaged.
